DRAKE AND WISE LEAD USAC TO RICHMOND
Indianapolis, Ind. -- Tony Stewart Motorsports teammates Jay Drake and Josh Wise will lead the stars of USAC to Richmond International Raceway this weekend. Drake rolls into Richmond leading in the USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series points after last weekend's "Buckeye Nationals."
He is currently 8th in the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series points standings. Wise currently sits at the top of the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series points standings after his win at the First Financial "Sumar Classic 100" at the Terre Haute Action Track on June 4th.
The young shoe is 5th in USAC National Sprint Car Series points heading into his first visit to Richmond. Two-time Richmond Silver Crown winner, Dave Steele, trails Wise by only 15 points. Bobby East won last season's event. Jason McCord won the sprint car event last year.
USACLive.com, the official home for live webcasts of United States Auto Club, will webcast the USAC National Sprint Car event live from Richmond International Raceway Friday evening at 8:40pm eastern. USAC Live will also webcast the "Times-Richmond 100" Silver Crown race live Saturday at 5:45pm eastern. (Times subject to change.) The website will also provide live timing and scoring, stories, live updates and photos beginning Friday morning and throughout the race weekend.
USAC Live features Live Timing and Scoring which streams lap times and standings for each session from practice through the feature event. This feature, when combined with USAC Live's text updates and photos from trackside, delivers unprecedented coverage of USAC action. USAC Live (www.usaclive.com) will webcast all USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series events in 2005 from the track plus additional USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series events and USAC National Midget Series events.
