Memphis, TN -- September 10, 2003- Tyler Walker and the R.E. Technologies Race team are hoping that a tune up will turn into a win at the O'Reilly Tulsa 100 on Sunday September 14th. The team spent the day testing at the Tulsa Fairgrounds Motorplex on August 28th as part of a press conference and test session held by legendary promoter Emmett Hahn. The O'Reilly Tulsa 100 will mark the first time this season that the USAC Silver Crown cars have raced on a ¾ dirt oval. R.E. Technologies Racing team manager, Chris Santucci says this race should be interesting for the fans and drivers.

"Tulsa is more like a big bull ring," said Santucci. "The track is real flat so having one groove will make qualifying very important. The 95db mufflers, required for this race, will also make a difference in car performance."

This race will mark the debut of the new J&J dirt Silver Crown chassis. USAC star Jerry Coons Jr. put the #115 Parker Stores sponsored J&J car through its paces at the ¾ mile dirt oval.

"I'm impressed," said Coons. "The #115 felt good and it definitely has a lot of potential."

"I am excited to run the new J&J just to see how it performs," remarked Santucci. "The first time at a new track like Tulsa will be a learning experience for all of the teams. With tires and track position being a priority, this should be an interesting race."

Tyler Walker was unable to attend the test in Tulsa. He was testing a Dodge truck with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in Richmond. The 2002 O'Reilly World of Outlaws Gumout series champion's winged sprintcar shop is a few miles from the Tulsa Fairgrounds Motorplex. Walker says he is excited about returning to his "hometown" of Tulsa.

"This is sort of like a home race for me," said Walker. "I want to perform well in front of the folks from our World of Outlaws shop."

DIFFICULT DAY AT DUQUOIN

Tyler Walker and the R.E. Technologies Racing team finished a disappointing 17th after fuel problems plagued the #35 Saturday night during the Ted Horn 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Walker qualified the Curb Records sponsored #35 machine 11th quick at DuQuoin, Illinois. When the green flag fell, Walker raced through the field advancing to 6th place on lap 55. With 12 laps to go, his #35 ran out of fuel ending the evening. Tyler Walker is currently sitting in 6th place in USAC Silver Crown points.

TRUCK'IN AT RICHMOND

Tyler Walker had a strong run Thursday night at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Virginia is for Lovers 200, before a cut tire ended his night. The California native was 13th quick in early practice. Strong thunderstorms pelted Richmond International Raceway canceling qualifying. NASCAR set most of the starting grid by owner's points. That forced Tyler Walker to start from 34th position. Walker drove the #7 Mopar Performance Ultra Motorsports Dodge through the field to 8th position by lap 163. With about 35 laps to go, a right rear tire went down and the #7 truck contacted with the #87 of Conrad Burr on the backstretch at the "Action Track". Walker finished in 27th position. 1995 USAC Silver Crown Champion Tony Stewart won the event. Walker was the third truck in a three truck Ultra team for the weekend. Ultra's other drivers were Ted Musgrave and Jimmy Spencer. Tyler Walker finished 5th at Richmond in June racing with the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series.
