FORSMAN FASTEST FOR FORMULA MASTER

Sweden's Philip Forsman set the fastest time in today's International Formula Master test in Hungary, driving for AR Motorsport. The Formula Renault graduate set his best time in 1:45.900 on a drying track, following overnight downpours.

Driving for Jenzer Motorsport, Nico Muller was second fastest, posting a quickest lap of 1:47.100, ahead of team-mate Gary Thompson. The Irish 17-year-old, currently ranked second in Formula BMW Pacific, completed his best lap in 1:47.500.

Brazilian Cesar Ramos claimed this morning's fastest time in 2:05.799, whilst his best time overall of 1:48.100 ranked him fourth. Iris Project pair Mikkel Mac and Phillippe Frommenwiler were fifth and sixth respectively with times of 1:48.900 and 1:49.200.

JD Motorsport tester Riccardo Galli, from Switzerland, was seventh, with a best time of 1:49.900, with Italy's Andrea Roda eighth fastest for Cram Competition with a 1:50.400 lap.

Today concluded two day of rookie evaluation for the International Formula Master teams at the Hungaroring in Hungary.

Philip Forsman, AR Motorsport

"The car felt so much more like a racing car than what I've driven before, I only tested in the morning session yesterday and was third fastest. We worked on a drying track all day today but I managed to be fastest which is great.

"The grip is great with this car but I had to be very smooth to avoid any wheel spin. I raced with AR Motorsport this season just gone and I hope to be back next year with them in IFM."

Nico Muller, Jenzer Motorsport

"I'm quite happy with today although I didn't drive too much; only 30-odd laps in the afternoon. The track was tricky today so we focused on getting as much running as possible without taking risks but still set a good time."

Gary Thompson, Jenzer Motorsport

"IFM is a good option and a brilliant car, which is why I wanted to test this week. The test was ok, the car has a lot more downforce than I'm used to but we still got to set some decent times today despite the drying conditions."
